atypical Chronic Myeloid Leukemia (a-CML)

WBC is elevated in the range of 18–300 × 109 /l and is frequently accompanied by anemia and thrombocytopenia. Neutrophilic precursors usually comprise >10% of the PB cells, blasts count usually is <5%. There is a prominent dysplastic granulopoiesis (hyposegmentation, hypolobulation, abnormal clumbed chromatin). Basophilia is not observed in most cases. Bone marrow shows hypercellularity, with ME ratio often exceeds 10:1.
