Hyposegmentation & degranulation

Morphologic abnormalities as seen in Myelo Dysplastic Syndrome, in neutrophils that demonstrate hypogranularity (loss of secondary granules) and/or nuclear hyposegmentation, including pseudo–Pelger-Huet forms (binucleated neutrophils with condensed chromatin). Abnormal (clumpy) chromatin condensation is a feature sometimes hard to see, but comparison to normal neutrophils (preferably stained within the same batch) can make this more easy.
