Plasma Cell Myeloma

Plasma Cell Myeloma (Multiple Myeloma) is a multifocal proliferation of plasma cells, and associated with an M-protein and/or Free Light Chain ratio shift. Morphology of the plasma cells can differ between cases from normal to plasmoblastic or multinucleated. . The number of plasma cells may vary within slides, so carefull examination of multiple slides is a must to make a correct estimation of the percentage. The diagnosis can only be made correctly by combining bone marrow findings, radiology and clinical features.
