Mantle Cell Lymphoma (MCL)

PB and BM involvement showing a monotone lymphoid population of lymphocytes with slightly irregular nuclear, clumped chromatin and scant basophilic cytoplasm. Or in case of blastoid variant cells may resemble lymphoblasts with dispersed chromatin, nucleoli, sometimes indented or clefted nucleus and scant basophilic cytoplasm.
The cells express CD5, CD43, relatively strong surface-Ig, and are negative for CD10 and CD23. Cyclin D1 should be demonstrated by immunohistological staining. See also flow cytometry MBCN
